I worked as the primary composer, arranger and performer on the original score for C.O.G., the first film adaptation of a David Sedaris work. Check out the trailer for the film here on the right.
I worked hand-in-hand with the director, Kyle, to establish the mood and space he wanted the score to occupy.
Recording was done primarly on Logic using Sibelius for notation and a single large-diaphragm condenser microphone.
In addition to the composed music performed on the score, I also implemented improvisation where possible including during the outro (The first time I ever actually picked up a banjo! You can hear it in the audio clip below).
I have to also mention that it is a real pleasure to share credits with one of my favorite composers, Steve Reich, who also contributed music to C.O.G..

Composer & Arranger
I hold a master's degree in Jazz and improvisational music with an emphasis in composition. During my undergrad I studied composition with Mike McMullen, as well as studying orchestration with Dr. Leo Eyler. Recently my song "2012 Suite" was a featured compostion at the 50th Reno Jazz Festival, in attendance were over 8,000+ ears as well as opening the concert for the Charles Mingus Jazz Orchestra.
I also arrange songs, from Duke Ellington to Beethoven, which you can hear in the clips below. I am known as being able to balance tradition with new and innovative techniques and approaches.

I've been a professional performing musician for 12 years on multiple instruments, as well as vocal work. I am a member of the Ska band Save Ferris and also perform regularly with guitarist and composer Wayne Kramer.
Just recently I was blessed to share the stage with Wayne as we accompanied Jackson Browne on his hit song "Running On Empty," which I played piano on and can be seen in the video to the right.
I am also a member of the persian composer Reza Rohani band, (son of the world famous persian composer Anourshiravan Rohani), along with vocalist Sara Naini. We made our American debut at the world famous jazz club, Yoshi's, in San Fransico to a sold out audience.
